Also nearby are the Clock Tower Hotel, Braeside Guest House and Sunnymede Guest House on New North road. The City Gate Hotel is located at Iron Bridge, North street. The Bendene Hotel and Silversprings Georgian Townhouse Hotel are located on Richmond road. Located on Blackall road and closer to Exeter University are the Raffles Hotel and Dunmore Hotel. The Edwardian is located on Heavitree road and is closer to the coach station on Paris street.

Exeter also offers a range of more upmarket hotels located in the city centre, such as the Abode Royal Clarence, the Macdonald Southgate and the Thistle. The Abode Royal Clarence is Exeter's oldest hotel and has been recently refurbished. It is situated on the Cathedral green in the heart of Exeter. The rooms are individually furnished from the Tudor to the Victorian periods. It is also home to two-Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines fine dining restaurant.

Exeter airport is located about 8 kilometers to the east of Exeter city centre. The closest hotel to the airport is the Express by Holiday Inn, located in a business park close to the M5 motorway and about 3 km from Exeter airport. The Best Western Gipsy hill Country house hotel is located in 3 acres of landscaped gardens, about 5 km from the airport. The Road Lodge guesthouse is located on East Wonford hill between Exeter city centre (3 km) and Exeter airport (5 km). However, the guesthouse has only 8 rooms and is often full.
